MILK Update!!

Ok, so I went and bought like 4 cans of the powdered milk at Macey's. After talking to a friend I discovered something...they just put less in the container...that is why it is so inexpensive!
Here is the scoop:

Macey's Country Fresh milk is 33 oz = $5.99
Church Food Storage milk is 69 oz = $7.30 (used to be $13!!)

So, you get WAY more for your money at the Church.

I will be returning my milk to Maceys and going to the cannery. If anyone would like to join me(or have me do some for you), e-mail me and we'll go next week!

Week 3:
3 cans mushroom soup
1 2.5 lb peanut butter

Note: in 2 weeks, we will need to buy powdered milk. Macey's has a #10 can for $5.99. This is cheaper than the cannery! Buy a few!! This is a great price and goes off Tuesday...call all your friends and tell them!

Non Food List for January

Thank you Jana!
She was kind enough to give us a list of things that we can add to our $5 a week plan that are not food items, yet things that we need to have in case of disaster!

Here is what we need for January:
Batteries for flashlights and radio (if you do not have a flashlight and a radio get them)

(I was even thinking that a hand crank flashlight or radio could be a good idea...)

Try splitting a pack with your neighbor and buy them at Sams. Here is their price breakdown
AA - 36 count - $27
AAA - 28 count - $15
C - 12 count - $12
D - 12 count - $12
